Garden update.
Hose - it just POPPED the other day. Water shot up about 15 feet in the air and I was just blinking. "Um...what happened just now?" Then...POP! another hole. New hose purchased. :)
The tomatoes are growing! Whoot!
Sweet potatoes - cute and growing.
Strawberries - They die a bit...and thrive a bit. We need a better system for them in the future. Some sort of netting and the like to keep things off them.
The plums are doing their thing. It's an interesting process. They don't ripen all at the same time, so we're going to have to pick and eat for a while. What a shame. :::grin::::
Apples - no black spots so far. It looks like the moth traps are doing their job. Fingers crossed!
Overall, the garden is great. We've eaten some items, we're learning and having fun. I think next year, we might get rid of 50% of the "grass" (AKA -dirt lawn) and plan more. I want MOOOOOOORRE!!! :) We'll see. The grass is a mess, but the kids need a place to play. I'm sure we can work something out. We have some bushes that are dying, so they might go and the additional garden space might do there and in a 10x5 space in the grass area.
